About Playground Playground is working to make excellent child care accessible to all. Playground has built best‑in‑class software to manage all aspects of running a child care business. We believe that providers should focus on providing incredible child care — the kind of work that only people can do — and that software should manage the rest. We’re building the child care management platform that eliminates the administrative work of running a center.

Playground is at an inflection point and poised for rapid growth. We recently raised millions of dollars, secured several statewide contracts, and are working with thousands of schools across the country. Our founders were recently honored as Forbes 30 Under 30.

We are a team of owners, unafraid to dive into large, complex projects. If you’re excited about solving high‑impact problems across a growing startup and want to work closely with company leadership to build operational excellence from the inside out, we want to hear from you!

The Role We’re looking for an MBA Business Operations Lead to join our team. In this role, you’ll act as an internal consultant, owning and solving high‑priority operational challenges across the company. Every 1–2 weeks, you’ll tackle a new project — partnering with leaders in sales, marketing, revenue operations, customer experience, and beyond to unlock efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and scale processes that help us grow.

This is a high‑impact, highly visible role perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving problems, and wants to learn how all the pieces of a startup fit together.

What You’ll Do

Identify and scope operational pain points across functions and lead structured problem‑solving efforts

Own short sprints (2–4 weeks) to deeply understand a part of the business and drive real change

Design, implement, and optimize processes that help teams scale efficiently

Build lightweight tools, dashboards, or workflows to help teams track and measure their impact

Partner with team leads and company leadership to align on goals, timelines, and key success metrics

Document your learnings and leave systems better than you found them

You Might Work On

Mapping and improving the Sales → Onboarding → CS handoff process

Supporting GTM experiments like referral programs, ABM pilots, or pricing discovery

Helping team leads scope, track, and report on weekly metrics across departments

Jumping into Salesforce or Hubspot to clean up workflows or build a quick dashboard

Running recruiting ops: managing hiring workflows, coordinating communication, and actively sourcing candidates

Reorganizing the office layout to support team growth and collaboration

Managing our location tracking system to keep internal records up to date

Supporting CX with internal tooling improvements or better escalation workflows

Rolling up your sleeves to document, fix, or improve any process that’s slowing us down

Who You Are

You’re a structured thinker and problem solver — you can take a messy question and drive it to clarity

You’re analytical and comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and dashboards

You’ve got great business judgment and can quickly understand new domains

You’re scrappy, proactive, and unafraid to get into the weeds

You have 3+ years of experience in investing, consulting, strategy, business operations, or a similar generalist role

Recent graduate of an MBA program or set to graduate with your MBA in May/June 2026

Bonus: You’ve worked at a fast‑growing startup or in an early‑stage environment

What Makes a Great Fit If you’re a hustler who’s excited to join a mission‑driven, early‑stage company with ownership, craftsmanship, and empathy at the center of what we do, apply now.

The Playground team is fully in‑office in Union Square, NYC and Denver, CO. Please make sure you are open to a fully in‑person role before applying.
