The Senior Director will be a leader of leaders with Director level reports overseeing ancillary services, while also focusing on campus master planning and strategic development. In partnership with the VP, Hospital Operations, this position will collaborate with Sentara leadership, administration, medical staff and medical staff leadership.

Assuming responsibility and accountability for strategic planning and success of assigned areas of responsibility. This role coordinates the development and marketing of new services and strategic planning for assigned areas of responsibility and well as contributes to the success of the hospital through achievement of system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives. the Senior Director builds strong, collaborative relationships with the medical staff community, maximize efficiencies with inventory and equipment management established by Sentara. This position is a member of the administrative team and will serve on various committees within the hospital and reporting directly to the Vice President of Hospital Operations.**Education/Experience*** Masters Degree (required)* 5 years of Healthcare Management (required)* 5 years of Operational and Clinical Management (required)**Requirements*** Oversees the staff of assigned departments and ensures adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing leaders and employees.* Ensures employee productivity and quality of work is in alignment with the strategic initiatives set within our mission, vision, and values.* Ensures compliance with all policies, facilitates compliance with DNV standards, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of assigned department budget.* Monitors hospital analytics on performance and works with the hospital executive team to monitor success of tactics to address need for change.
