The National Center for Outdoor and Adventure Education (NCOAE) is hiring a Program Director to lead our intensive EMT training program in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is a leadership role for an experienced leader and educator who wants more ownership, flexibility, and impact. If you have experience teaching EMT students and are ready to lead a focused, high-quality EMS training program, we want to hear from you. Candidates open to relocating to coastal North Carolina are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate. What You’ll Do

Lead our EMT training program in Wilmington, NC Teach and mentor EMT students in immersive, hands‑on courses Supervise and support instructors Manage scheduling, compliance, and program logistics Maintain North Carolina EMS standards This is a working leadership role. You will teach. You will lead. You will shape the program. What We’re Looking For

Experience teaching EMT students Experience in out‑of‑hospital EMS care Leadership or supervisory experience North Carolina EMS certification, or ability to obtain it Wilderness medicine experience is a plus, but not required. If you are currently an EMT Instructor, EMS Educator, Paramedic, or Program Coordinator looking for more leadership responsibility and a lifestyle move, this could be a strong next step.
