Position Summary The School Operations Director assists the Head of Operations with day‑to‑day school operations, including vendor selection, purchasing, accounting, technology management, and serving as a point of contact for school operations.
Essential Functions
Assist the Head of Operations with creating and executing a strategic plan for non‑academic programs
Oversee staffing and operations of afterschool program
Help manage extracurricular programs for staffing and facility needs
Oversee the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
Improve operational systems, processes, and policies
Plan school events and support all areas of school operations including front office and fundraising
Maintain documentation of policies and procedures
Monitor and execute training and documentation for operation compliance with BASIS Ed operational mandates
Assist in coordinating all operational needs and processes
Support the Head of Operations in coordinating payroll with the central office and school‑based finance team
Help oversee the physical operation of the school including security and IT
Maintain the school inventory of hardware and software
Research, evaluate, purchase, and manage school services including building maintenance, housekeeping, and grounds
Manage purchases of all supplies, including textbooks and operating supplies
Arrange bids and develop specifications for all outside contractual work
Work with the Head of Operations to ensure safety of personnel and students, including scheduling and management of required drills (fire, lockdown, etc.)
Maintain accurate and complete records of all school assets
Other duties as assigned

Financial experience, facilities management experience, and experience with Human Resources functions preferred.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office, SharePoint.
