Location: Plano, Texas. Status: Full-time. Salary: $90,000 - $110,000. In-House Legal Counsel Plano, Texas | Full-time Responsibilities
Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of vehicle repossession, contract disputes, and commercial litigation. Champion compliance with state and federal laws, including regulations such as the FCRA, GLBA, SCRA, FDCPA and UCC. Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts to safeguard company interests. Strategically manage litigation, collaborating with external counsel for effective resolution. Proactively monitor regulatory changes and guide the company in adapting its practices. Identify and mitigate potential legal risks, developing and implementing policies to minimize exposure. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active and in good standing Texas law license. Demonstrated expertise in state and federal repossession laws and regulations. Proven track record in litigation management and contract negotiation. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to thrive independently while managing multiple complex legal matters. Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the vehicle finance, recovery, or repossession sectors. In-depth knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) regulations. Schedule
