The ideal candidate will be seeking to enhance their knowledge of the entertainment industry while working at a dynamic and collaborative talent agency. The assistant plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly. There is tremendous opportunity to learn and grow. Law school graduates, and those considering law school, who are looking for exposure to entertainment law are encouraged to apply, as are those contemplating careers as agents or producers who would like to gain an overview of the entertainment industry from a business and legal perspective.**Responsibilities**• Provide administrative support, including phones, coordinating meetings, schedules and travel, and preparing expense reports• Editing, proofreading, summarizing, and redlining agreements and correspondence• Serve as first point of contact with clients and executives and should possess a professional, customer-service attitude• Track contracts and maintain accurate files• Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information as needed• Depending on skill, education level and motivation to learn, assistant will gain experience drafting and commenting on agreements and may be given the opportunity to assist in negotiations with buyers, and outside law firms**Qualifications**• BA/BS from an accredited University or College or equivalent work experience preferred• Law degree from ABA accredited law school is preferred but not required• Interest in future law degree is also preferred• 1+ year of relevant experience (including internships) within the entertainment industry or a strong interest in transitioning into the entertainment industry• Top notch organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills• Ability to juggle a multitude of tasks• Detail-oriented• Ability to perform well under pressure• Team oriented• Familiarity with contracts in the entertainment business, specifically relating to book publishing, film, tv, podcast; experience proofreading, drafting, and redlining contracts preferred**Location**On-Site in Los Angeles, CA, United States**Compensation**The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
