Are you an experienced Superintendent with a passion for delivering high-quality commercial projects? Our client, a reputable and growing Commercial General Contractor based in Phoenix, is seeking a skilled Superintendent to join their team.
About the Role This is a great opportunity to take ownership of fast-paced commercial builds, including restaurants, fast food outlets, and coffee shops. The projects mainly include tenant improvements (TI)—ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the construction site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
Coordinate daily site operations and logistics, including scheduling subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections
Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards
Review and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
Proactively identify and resolve field issues to avoid delays or cost overruns
Conduct daily site meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders
Monitor and document progress through daily reports, photos, and updates to the project management team
Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction
Work closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and clients to keep projects on track
Mentor and supervise field crews and subcontractors to maintain productivity and high standards
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Background in building restaurants, fast food outlets, or coffee shops is highly desirable
Experience managing tenant improvement projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety procedures
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple jobs and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
