is seeking an experienced part time Grant Writer for the

2026–2027

school year. This role involves researching, developing, and submitting proposals to federal, state, local, and private sources to secure funding for educational programs, capital projects, facilities, and student needs. The Grant Writer serves as a key link between the school’s initiatives and potential funding partners, supporting programs such as curriculum enhancement, technology, and specialized offerings. Candidates should demonstrate strong alignment with the school’s Catholic mission, values, and educational philosophy.

Essential Functions:

Grant Identification & Research: Identify and prioritize potential funding opportunities for K–12 educational projects using sources such as Grants.gov, state education department websites, and private foundations.

Proposal Writing: Draft, edit, and submit persuasive, high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept notes.

Budget Development: Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and finance teams to develop accurate project budgets and gather necessary financial data.

Project Management: Maintain a grant calendar, tracking all submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and award/rejection notifications.

Compliance & Reporting: Monitor grant activities to ensure compliance with funding agency guidelines and regulations. Submit interim and final reports to demonstrate impact.

Collaboration: Work with staff to identify needs and gather data to craft compelling narratives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with foundation, corporate, and government funding representatives.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is sometimes preferred.

Proven experience in grant writing (typically 2–5 years) with a successful track record of securing funds; experience in education is often preferred.

Ability to translate technical or educational concepts into clear, persuasive narratives.

Strong ability to locate and analyze federal, state, and private grant opportunities.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and details simultaneously.

Expertise in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with grant management systems or databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge).

Pay Range : $18.00 - $24.00, Hourly
