The Team Join AMD’s Networking Technology & Solutions Group, where we are redefining datacenter and AI infrastructure with next‑generation AI Network Interface Cards (AI NICs) and Data Processing Units (DPUs). Our solutions power modern cloud platforms, hyperscale AI clusters, and secure, high‑performance data processing environments.

The Role We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the market growth, customer engagement, and ecosystem expansion for AMD’s AI NIC and DPU product lines. This leader will drive strategic partnerships, influence product direction, and accelerate adoption across cloud, AI, enterprise, and service provider markets.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business development strategy and market penetration for AI Networking Solutions

Build and manage strategic relationships with hyperscale and networking/security partners

Identify new opportunities through deep market and competitive analysis

Work closely with engineering and product teams to align roadmap with customer needs

Enable sales with positioning, technical insights, and GTM support to market and support teams

Lead deal negotiations and manage execution of strategic agreements

Represent AMD in industry forums, customer meetings, and partner collaborations

Preferred Experience

Proven business development or product leadership in data center networking, DPUs/SmartNICs, cloud infrastructure, or AI systems

Strong understanding of networking offloads (RDMA, RoCE, NVMe‑oF), virtualization, and distributed AI architectures

Track record of driving technology adoption and forming strategic partnerships

Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive‑level engagement skills

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership capabilities

Strategic planning: Lead the annual planning process for PM and Marketing orgs, defining OKRs and ensuring budget/headcount aligns with the roadmap

Market intel: Monitor the semiconductor and AI networking landscape to pivot strategy based on competitor moves (e.g., NVIDIA, Marvell) or emerging tech like CXL

Ecosystem growth: Work with Product Management to identify and vet strategic partners, from software startups to major CSPs, to enhance the AMD networking stack

Customer voice: Act as a bridge between key customers and product teams to ensure the long‑term roadmap solves real‑world AI scaling challenges

Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field

MBA (preferred)

Location: Santa Clara, CA
