
Cash Equities Electronic Sales and Origination, Director or Vice President

The Electronic Sales role is a senior-level position responsible for covering both existing and prospective accounts trading Cash Equity products. This is an origination role, but will also be focused on growth with key existing clients trading cash electronic products. The role collaborates with the broader Global Markets franchise, including High Touch Cash Sales Trading, Program Trading, Prime Brokerage, Advisory and Derivatives Sales to grow Citi’s market share across product ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Originate and source new electronic trading relationships to increase breadth of clients doing business with Citi Actively cover existing trading accounts to grow market share and overall Equities footprint Act as primary point of contact for low touch cash trading needs, working closely with Sales Trading and Execution Advisory Services to increase mindshare Develop, implement and drive client acquisition, coverage, and growth strategy Develop action plans and accountability framework to ensure growth and market share goals are achieved Market Citi’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues Develop clients from acquisition to ownership of high-profile institutional accounts Build a culture of responsible finance, governance, supervision, expense discipline and ethics Assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, with consideration for the firm’s reputation Lead strong governance and controls Work with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance) to ensure governance and control infrastructure Adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses required for the role within the appropriate timeframe Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency Qualifications
7+ years of sales experience Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy-side community In-depth knowledge of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals In-depth knowledge of financial institutions asset classes and products Proven client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the market place and market issues Broad client relationships preferred Clear and concise written and verbal communication Proven negotiation and persuasion skills; fluency in additional languages preferred Must be able to obtain the following licenses: Series 7, 63 Education
