We are currently hiring a full-time Brewery Representative. The role works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics. Location and Territory
The position is based in Boston, MA. Territory covers key Boston neighborhoods (East Boston, Revere, Brighton, Allston, Brookline and Dorchester). The ideal candidate will live in the Boston area or surrounding suburbs. This is a field-based role and requires living within the territory to visit accounts, unless stated otherwise. Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenience stores) Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts Conduct waitstaff / bartender education, beer tastings and evening promotions Working conditions vary day to day due to the customer-facing nature of the role May be required to work weekends and holidays to support business needs Occasional travel for meetings and trainings Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers What Ingredients You’ll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree Level: 8 Salary range is between $47,000 and $69,500. This range depends on related experience, skillset and location. The position may qualify for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance. Perks
