JR-000209**Position Title:**Hanna Holborn Gray Research Mentor**Bryn Mawr College:**Student Success\_STU**Location:**Bryn Mawr College Campus**Job Description:**The Undergraduate Dean’s Office seeks applicants for the position of Research Mentor for the Hanna Holborn Gray Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program (HHG). The dates for the position are March – October 2026.The HHG program awards 15 undergraduate students with fellowships of $5000 to engage in full-time independent summer research in the humanities or social sciences.
Fellows are expected to participate in on-campus summer programming, either in person or virtually if they are not on campus.In consultation with Fellowships Adviser Eleanor Stanford, who oversees the program, the HHG Mentor will develop and run summer programming for the cohort of Fellows. While the undergraduate Fellows are in contact with faculty who advise them about their research, the Mentor are the first points of contact for Fellows through the summer.Programming consists of a 3-day research seminar in mid-May and weekly meetings with mentors for 8 weeks during the summer.
Mentors will each present a workshop during the seminar and will develop and oversee a Moodle discussion board.
They will provide feedback on mid-summer research reports, guide student research projects through the summer, and organize panel presentations early in the fall semester at which Fellows will present their research.
They will assist with coordinating and/or faciliating a public speaking workshop in advance of the fall presentations.
Mentors work together to coordinate logistics for events associated with programming, including communications with participants, room reservations, and food orders.**Weekly Hours:**10Bryn Mawr College is a private liberal arts institution located approximately 11 miles west of Philadelphia, Pa., and serves a population of 1,700 students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
