The

Senior Director of Central Operations

is a critical executive leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and standardization of operational frameworks across the organization. This position ensures operational excellence by governing standard procedures, managing organizational change, and leading incident response strategies. You will oversee three primary pillars: Operational Governance, Training & Certification, and Performance Readiness. The ideal candidate is a process‑oriented leader who can harmonize complex regulatory requirements with high‑performance operational metrics to drive continual improvement and organizational resilience. What You’ll Do

Own enterprise SOP/MOP/EOP standards: Develop, maintain, and enforce a centralized library of Standard Operating Procedures, Maintenance Operating Procedures, and Emergency Operating Procedures that apply across all sites. Establish change management governance: Define and enforce enterprise change control frameworks, approval authorities, risk assessment standards, and maintenance window protocols. Ensure all sites follow consistent change discipline and documentation rigor. Incident and problem management frameworks: Design and enforce incident command structures, escalation pathways, post‑incident review (PIR) processes, corrective action (CAPA) discipline, and root cause analysis (RCA) governance. Ensure systemic issues are identified and resolved enterprise wide. Direct the Incident and Problem Management lifecycle, ensuring rapid restoration of services and long‑term resolution of systemic issues. Performance Readiness & Continual Improvement Govern the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process, ensuring deep‑dive reviews lead to actionable insights and the prevention of recurrence. Define, track, and report on critical Metrics and KPIs that reflect the health and efficiency of Central operations. Drive a culture of Continual Improvement by leveraging data‑driven insights to optimize workflows and reduce operational waste. What You’ll Bring

10+ years

in mission‑critical operations (data centers, industrial, utilities, hospitals, or similar), including

5+ years

in leadership/governance role. Deep working knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, EPMS/BMS, cooling plant, liquid cooling, fire/life safety). Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise operational standards, change management frameworks, and training programs. Strong background in incident management, RCA discipline, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent). Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, influence without direct authority, and drive organizational change. Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical complexity into clear standards and guidance for diverse audiences (operators, engineers, executives, auditors). Preferred Qualifications

Hyperscale or multi‑site data center operations experience. Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Experience with audit preparation (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST) and external audit management. Project management or process improvement certification (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.). Technical degree or equivalent; trade licenses/certifications a plus. Experience with CMMS systems, metrics dashboards, and operational reporting tools. Compensation and Benefits

Competitive Salary: Base salary range $199,000 - $230,000 (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign‑on equity grant.
