
Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Travel Trade

We have an immediate opening for a Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Travel Trade in our Los Angeles office. The position is working with the German National Tourist Office (GNTO).
Primary Duties
Support the planning and delivery of entertaining & informative webinars, sales calls (virtual and in person) and training programs with travel distribution partners and German Stakeholders
Development of industry relations with tour operators, consortium, travel advisors, wholesalers, airlines and client stakeholders including networking and event representation
Support the planning and delivery of trade educationals including itinerary development, participant recruitment and hosting in destination
Support team members with administrative aspects of a key tourist board account including preparation of comprehensive market intelligence reports, project briefs, etc.
Support the planning and delivery of events and trade show activities including onsite participation
Contribution and tracking of clients budgets as they relate to activities that the role performs
Adherence and contribution development of project workflow and timelines
Coordinate internal and external meetings, including attendee invitations, agendas, location reservations, AV, taking and distribution of meeting notes and other miscellaneous logistics
Develop activity reporting with strong focus on conversion metrics
Required Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
1-2 years of experience in sales support, training, marketing or event management (preferably in tourism)
Excellent time management skills with ability to develop and adhere to independent deadlines
Event planning and budgeting
Ability to multi-task and handle several projects at one time on tight deadlines
Highly organized and willing to manage numerous administrative functions
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills
Ability to read and write German
Knowledge of tourism destination sales and marketing either via education or job experience
Education Requirements
Associate's degree in marketing, tourism, communications or public relations
Reports to Head of Sales North America, GNTO
Salary Salary Range for this position: $45,000 - $49,000
