Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. With the opportunity to work with additional products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details Your starting pay will be $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are 15–20 per week, with availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
Role and Responsibilities
Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drugstores, department stores, and mass retailers.
Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products.
Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities.
Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
Provide holiday support, including additional days and extended hours during major holidays; may be required to work on the holiday itself.
Assist with department resets: installations, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections; notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
Support team members as needed in your territory.
Physical Requirements This physically demanding job requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital handheld device and interpret information.
Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
