Summary Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for both the hotel and the convention centre
Personally lead and secure key accounts, major group opportunities, and high-value convention business
Drive group, corporate, SMERF, and social event segments with a proactive, results-oriented approach
Create and implement targeted, urgency-based offers to stimulate demand during need periods and optimize space utilization
Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to support pricing, inventory control, and overall yield strategy
Monitor competitive set performance and local market trends
Lead the commercial strategy and revenue performance of Luxe Convention Centre, ensuring optimal utilization of event space and sustained growth across corporate, association, and social segments.
Develop and implement strategic pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and utilization
Build long-term convention and event partnerships to support sustainable account growth
Ensure the convention centre is positioned as a premier meetings and events destination within the GTA
Sales Process & Performance Discipline
Establish a clear and consistent sales cadence, including regular pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions, and performance tracking
Drive strong CRM utilization and sales process discipline across the team
Build, qualify, and actively manage a robust prospect database for corporate, group, and event clients
Maintain accountability for pace, production, and conversion metrics
Lead, coach, and develop the sales and events team to ensure high performance and accountability
Partner closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution of group and event business
Maintain strong communication with ownership and Hyatt leadership
Client Relationships & Business Development
Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, planners, and community partners
Conduct site tours, presentations, and client negotiations
Ensure a smooth transition from contract to execution to deliver an exceptional guest and planner experience
