Technical Editor/Technical Writer
– Stafford, VA
Seeking a Technical Editor/Technical Writer to be part of our team supporting our customer on Marine Corps Base Quantico in Stafford, VA. The position is responsible for working with the Government client and associated team members to ensure all products are in accordance with required directives and policies and of the highest quality. Specific duties include:
Provide direct support to the Government Team Lead, Project Officers, and other project staff
Conduct quality reviews to ensure documents are formatted and completed in accordance with templates, policy, style guides or other controlling guidance
Create, edit, and review technical materials and program documents, to include letters, memorandums, briefs, and meeting minutes
Develop correspondence IAW the Naval Correspondence Manual
Conduct format reviews and editing of equipment and systems documents such as technical manuals, specifications, training materials, and operating and maintenance instructions to ensure format compliance and readability
Other related duties as directed as part of the larger team services to include travel
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 3 years related experience. Additional experience may be substituted for the degree
Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government personnel
Demonstrated experience with word processing and presentations is required
Proficient in MS Word, Power Point, and Adobe; MS Project experience is desired
Eligible for DoD SECRET clearance is required; Active DoD SECRET clearance preferred
Maximum salary is $72,000
