Victaulic sales representatives are out on the road every day, meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continued success. Our sales team consists of team players who are self‑starters with strong problem‑solving skills, mechanical aptitude and a drive to succeed and communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.

In this outside sales role, you will: Become the expert – Learn the products, know the industry, understand the business, build strong relationships, and educate and influence customers.

BECOME THE EXPERT Learn the Products First, you’ll need to learn all about Victaulic’s products and the many ways that we can provide solutions for our customers and help them get their projects done on time and within budget. Your training will cover everything from the basics to advanced applications, giving you confidence to address customer questions and objections.

Know the Industry In sales training, we’ll teach you not only about grooved mechanical pipe joining methods but also about competitive methods such as welding and flanging. With this knowledge, you can confidently overcome objections from customers accustomed to traditional joining techniques and keep up with market trends and competitor activity.

Understand the Business You’ll work with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize your sales potential. You will lead all phases of project pursuit and management – from project inception, design, specification, drawing, bidding, job‑site training, and support, to final commissioning and after‑sale follow‑up. You’ll coordinate with the inside sales team, engineering, and other support staff to meet customer requirements.

BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS As an energy sales specialist, developing relationships and building trust will be key. You will spend significant time building lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners in your territory, often extending beyond normal business hours. You will also partner with Victaulic distributors, manage a balanced distribution network, and coordinate with other sales representatives and regional specialists to provide the best customer experience.

EDUCATE AND INFLUENCE During your workday, you’ll learn and educate customers about the overall value of using Victaulic. You may conduct on‑site demos, training sessions, and lunch‑and‑learn presentations, ensuring customers understand how our products can enhance their projects.

Qualities We Seek in You as a Territory Manager We prefer a bachelor’s degree, but we welcome candidates from all backgrounds who demonstrate a history of sales success, strong relationships, and a competitive attitude. You should be self‑motivated, confident, organized, and willing to travel extensively. Strong problem‑solving, creative thinking, and project management skills are essential.
