Hybrid Work Arrangement This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

Responsibilities

Opportunity to utilize and expand drafting skills, working in a multi-disciplined team environment with designers and engineers for design drawings.

Apply computer-aided drafting skills while receiving hands‑on training in 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation. Receive training in Sargent & Lundy’s award‑winning proprietary design databases.

Create master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.

Accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your design project.

Interface with vendors and construction contractors, explaining drawings to enable appropriate design adjustments.

Dependent upon your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.

Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

Education and Experience

An associate's degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience.

Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).

Ability to visualize equipment details, phase to ground and phase to phase clearances.

Ability to multi‑task from project to project.

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.

Valued Knowledge/Skills

Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design.

Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Compensation Range $38,560.00 - $55,490.00
