**Position Summary:**Reports to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions Recruitment plays a key role in the Admissions team. The Assistant Director of Admissions Recruitment is expected to plan, organize, and develop the admissions recruitment program for Adams State University. They directly hire, onboard, coach, train and supervise Admissions Counselors on a daily and weekly basis ensuring the achievement of the university’s new student enrollment goals. They are expected to analyze and evaluate the current admissions recruitment program, the performance of the Admissions Counselors and develop creative and innovative strategies to improve recruitment processes across all campus delivery methods and student levels.**Specific Job Duties (Essential Functions and Responsibilities):*** Oversee the day to day activities of admissions recruitment according to enrollment marketing and recruiting plans in order to achieve enrollment goals* Analyze and track recruitment data to develop recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Director of Admissions* Provide organizational leadership within the areas of recruitment and territory management, prospect communication, admission processing and new student conversion* Hire, train, organize/structure, manage, coach and evaluate performance of recruitment staff including Admissions Counselors (on campus and remote), transfer student coordinators, student ambassadors and welcome center work study students* Serve as the admission liaison to the ASU Athletic Department, Academic Departments, Student Services, faculty, and staff to implement a successful long-term relationship plan. Build strategic partnerships with the faculty, members of the Athletic Department, and others both on and off campus to facilitate institutional understanding that enrollment is a campus wide responsibility* Serve as a resource for academic departments’ recruitment initiatives* Collaborate, strategize, and coordinate with the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies and Admissions Operations, and the Director of Prison Education Program and Concurrent Enrollment.* Coordinates and promotes special events related to Adams State University and the admissions process, including but not limited to counselor breakfasts/luncheons, application days, financial aid nights, registration activities (Grizz Bizz), student receptions, and campus visits.* Create new relationships and maintain communications with high school counselors, community college advisors, college prep organizations and community organizations. Plan events for counselors to visit ASU on campus.* Monitor, evaluate, and support the campus communication plan to prospective and admitted students utilizing Workday and other applications as appropriate.* Manage and maintain the Office of Admissions online and social media presence, including the admissions website, social media, and other online initiatives including all recruitment strategy partners.* Serve on selected university committees and represent ASU in related regional and national organizations.* Reviews applications to determine admissions eligibility for low-index students.* Maintains telephone, email, digital and written communication with prospective students and their parents.* Maintains communication with high school counselors, community college advisors, college-prep organizations and community organizations.* Serves as an academic advisor for first-time, transfer students by advising students on degree options, course selection, placement test interpretation, and other advising related issues.* Provides informative and appropriate financial aid counseling regarding federal and state financial aid, institutional and private scholarship opportunities and student financial services.* Perform other duties as needed to ensure the success of the department**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, master’s degree preferred in public administration, student affairs, higher education administration or closely related field* Two-three years leadership and management experience in student recruitment/admissions or related field preferably in the four-year public sector.* Knowledge of student financing, enrollment marketing, recruiting concepts and best practices of, recruiting technologies, and vendor services* Ability to support a systematic marketing research program to support recruiting decisions* Proven record of increasing student recruitment and retention rates at an institution of comparable size and complexity* Strong analytical skills including quantitative analysis that utilize data-driven enrollment management techniques* Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, demographics, and financial aid leveraging strategies* Demonstrated experience in program assessment and strategic planning* Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills* Commitment to an organizational culture marked by trust, integrity, ethics, professionalism, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity in all its forms****Salary and Benefits:****The salary range for this position is $52,200-$62,600.
