$27-32/hr. (W2) Akkodis is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter for Telecom projects in Texas. This will be a contract to hire with around a 6-month conversion. We are seeking a Drafter to support high-volume telecom relocation and road move projects. This role will focus on converting third-party files into clean, accurate engineering drawing packages that meet client and TxDOT standards. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a growing company!!! Responsibilities
Draft and produce telecom engineering drawings for road move and relocation projects Convert and clean third-party files (TXT, city files, PDFs, JPEGs) into standardized AutoCAD/Civil 3D drawings Import, scale, and align TxDOT plans into AutoCAD/Civil 3D Incorporate field notes and engineering markups into final drawing packages Create accurate profiles, plan views, and detail sheets Ensure drawings follow required client formats, layers, and standards Manage multiple work packages and meet tight delivery deadlines Collaborate remotely with engineers, project managers, and other drafters Required Qualifications
3+ years of telecom drafting experience Proficiency in AutoCAD Proficiency in Civil 3D (primary tool) Experience working with PDF to CAD conversions JPEG/image imports Scaling and aligning roadway/utility plans Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience
Telecom relocation / road move experience (highly preferred) Familiarity with TxDOT drawings and standards Experience with CenturyLink / Lumen projects Knowledge of MicroStation for file conversions Experience with AutoCAD Map 3D How to Apply
