Position Overview We are seeking Paralegal with a strong background in immigration to join our onsite Florida team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, communicates confidently with clients, and takes ownership of complex cases from intake through filing.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, and experienced in managing immigration matters with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Case Intake, Management and Documentation
Collect, organize, and review client documents according to USCIS and NVC requirements, or related to removal proceedings
Form Preparation and Filing
Prepare and review forms for USCIS (Any corresponding form) and track submissions to the NVC and/or legal documents required for immigration court
Case Monitoring and Status Tracking
Track case status with USCIS and NVC, including receipts, appointments, RFEs, approvals, and transfers and/or track hearings, filing deadlines, and case status in immigration court
Communication with USCIS and NVC
Submit inquiries and service requests in case of delays or issues with USCIS or NVC and/or Coordinate with DHS, EOIR, and other relevant agencies for records and updates
Interview and Appointment Preparation
Prepare clients for biometrics, adjustment of status, or consular interviews
Compliance and Recordkeeping
Ensure files comply with confidentiality regulations and internal policies
Attorney Support and Strategic Preparation
Assist attorneys with case preparation, document review, evidence review, summaries, and legal strategy
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in immigration law
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
Strong working knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, policies, and procedures
Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
Technical Skills
Experience with immigration case management software such as Clio or similar platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document management systems
Familiarity with USCIS systems, online filings, and government portals
