Director of Product Integrity The Director of Product Integrity leads Lumistella’s strategy to ensure product safety, quality, compliance, and consumer trust across all markets. This role is responsible for building and overseeing robust product integrity programs that ensure products meet regulatory, quality, and ethical standards throughout the product lifecycle; from design and sourcing to manufacturing and market release.
Strategic Leadership Define and implement global product integrity, quality, and safety objectives. Act as the authority on product integrity, product safety, and regulatory compliance. Advise senior leadership on product integrity risks, emerging issues, and mitigation strategies.
Product Safety & Quality Assurance Oversee product safety, quality, and compliance programs to ensure products meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Establish and monitor quality systems, testing protocols, and performance metrics. Lead product risk assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Regulatory & Compliance Management Ensure compliance with worldwide regulations and standards related to product safety, labeling, materials, and environmental requirements. Manage product certifications, approvals, and market authorization processes.
Supplier & Manufacturing Oversight Lead product integrity requirements for suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party partners. Oversee supplier audits, factory assessments, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Collaborate with sourcing and operations teams to strengthen responsible manufacturing practices. Coordinate all audit and compliance requirements from Licensors and customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Compliance, Product Development, Legal, Supply Chain teams. Support new product introduction (NPI) processes with integrity and Quality Assurance checkpoints. Champion a culture of product excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Training, Reporting & Governance Develop and deliver product integrity training programs for internal teams and suppliers. Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track product integrity KPIs and trends. Prepare executive and governance-level updates on product integrity performance.
If you want to be one of us... The idealcandidatewill bring: 10+ years of experience in product integrity, product safety, quality, or regulatory compliance in Consumer products – Toys experience will be a plus. Proven experience leading regional or multi-country product integrity programs with suppliers in Asia. Experience in factory evaluation, supplier audits, product inspection, and quality/production improvement. Strong background in manufacturing, supplier management, and regulatory compliance. Deep knowledge of product safety regulations and standards. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in risk‑based decision‑making. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Ability to manage complex, high‑risk issues in fast‑paced environments. Fluency in English required. Willingness to travel to factories in Asia as needed. Consumer‑focused and quality‑driven mindset. High standards of accountability and integrity. Strategic yet hands‑on leadership style. Strong cultural awareness and adaptability. Protects company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.
Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
