Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator develops positive long-term relationships with businesses and industry representatives to address workforce needs, support and strengthen relationships with business and industry, and coordinate resources for clients through community outreach, partnerships, referrals, and data management. The role supports the center programs with activities and assists as needed to support clients.

Location: Our Lady of Guadalupe Outreach Center, 3631 Soldano Blvd, Columbus OH 43228

Responsibilities

Promote educational programs for clients and community organizations.

Develop and manage relationships with partner agencies and community-based organizations to make proper referrals.

Assist the program manager with center projects.

Facilitate group processes including enrollment, testing, workshops, orientations, and job programs.

Maintain communication with clients, volunteers, and staff.

Assist with outreach to community partners including Catholic parishes and other faith-based organizations to develop and maintain group programming and community referrals for clients.

Represent the agency at all relevant events, coalition meetings, and taskforces, and participate in community outreach events which may include talks, presentations, resource fairs, and interviews.

Assist in the coordination of interns and volunteers.

Coordinate educational programs including English as a Second Language (ESL), Digital Literacy, Mercadito Raices and other programs, as needed.

Design and conduct surveys and focus groups with students, volunteers, and community partners to determine satisfaction and improve program accessibility and outcomes.

Administration

Responsible for all programmatic data entry and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Provides regular updates to program staff and community collaborators, and shares or hosts and develops content for the program’s social media page (in coordination with advancement).

Assist with front desk duties such as invoicing, supplies, building maintenance, and in the pantry.

Generate and publish a calendar of events/activities for respective site(s) to ensure access for students and partners.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in education, business or related field, required

Two (2) years of education, training or related program experience.

Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and in writing.

Proficient in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite, Office 365, SharePoint, and TEAMS.

Ability to establish, build, and sustain rapport/trust with clients as well as effective work relationships.

Valid Ohio Driver’s license and state minimum car insurance coverage.

Hourly pay: $22.50 - $23.75 depending on experience

Work week: 37.5 hours

Occasional evenings, 6:00 to 8:30 PM and weekends
