Job Description A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a UI/UX Developer. The position is a full‑time contract role for 12 months, located in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design standards.
Act as a designer‑developer, switching hats in both the areas of design and development, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision‑making for high‑visibility ongoing projects.
Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.
Provide development and support to the customer‑facing design system, including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
Collaborate with analysts, developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements.
Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques, suggesting or researching new tools and methods as needed.
Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock‑ups; develop UI/UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews.
Hands‑on development on front‑end user frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery, etc.).
Provide responsive websites and apps development and support to the customer‑facing design system, including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
Ideal Candidate
High School or GED or equivalent.
Deep experience in front‑end web application development with strong hands‑on programming experience with at least one language among Java, JavaScript, React, VUE, Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stacks.
Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end‑user needs.
Knowledge and experience with Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint, and WordPress CMS is a plus.
Skills, knowledge, and experience using end‑to‑end Human‑Centered Design (HCD) techniques including design, research, and usability.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training.
Previous experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or an applicable business degree from an accredited university, or relevant business technical experience.
Exposure to front‑end user frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery, etc.).
Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies.

Pay Range and Benefits Pay Range*:
Between $52.00 – $54.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
