Job Description ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE REQUIRED – 1099 CONTRACT POSITION
This role requires an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidates do not need a NATO clearance; however, they must hold a valid active DoD clearance and be eligible to be read on to the required program.

Location: NATO Norfolk, VA
Compensation: $48 – $80 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include benefits.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Analytics Specialist to provide engineering and lifecycle analytics support within a complex capability development and requirements environment. This role supports the full requirements lifecycle, including traceability, validation, analytics reporting, configuration control, and governance support across secure and regulated systems.
The ideal candidate has deep experience working in structured engineering or defense environments and can translate technical requirements data into actionable insights for leadership and decision‑making authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Support requirements lifecycle management including capture, decomposition, traceability, validation, and verification using enterprise lifecycle management tools.
Develop analytics, dashboards, and metrics to monitor requirements status, maturity, risk, and alignment across programs.
Integrate engineering and requirements data from multiple authoritative sources to enable cross‑system traceability and analysis.
Perform impact analysis and support configuration management and change control processes, including baselining and version control.
Contribute to systems engineering activities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, testing, verification, and deployment.
Generate technical reports and data‑driven insights to support governance boards, technical reviews, and senior stakeholder briefings.
Ensure compliance with applicable organizational, DoD, and regulatory standards.
Operate effectively within secure/classified environments in accordance with classification handling and data protection requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate engineering data into clear, decision‑support products for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in requirements engineering, systems analysis, engineering analytics, or related technical disciplines within defense, security, or highly regulated environments.
Demonstrated experience with requirements lifecycle management and enterprise engineering tools.
Experience developing analytics, visualizations, or business intelligence reporting related to engineering or technical programs.
Experience integrating data across multiple engineering or authoritative systems.
Experience supporting configuration management and structured change control processes.
Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies and engineering governance processes.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to translate technical data into actionable insight.
Experience working in secure or classified environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Compensation Compensation is performance and experience-based, ranging from $48 to $80 per hour. Final rate will be determined based on demonstrated qualifications, technical alignment with the role, and depth of relevant experience.
Additional Information This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage. No benefits are provided under this engagement.
