
Overview
We are seeking a full-time
Senior Project Manager Retail Marketing
at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for project managing all aspects of global point-of-sale (POS) and/or in-store marketing development.
Essential Functions
Leads a project team and plans, forecasts and successfully project manages full product life cycle retail marketing projects of any scale or complexity
Successfully mentors and trains others on Garmin’s retail marketing processes, procedures, brand style guide, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, Oracle, and/or other IT approved software upon leadership request
Works with the Retail Marketing team to verify their retailer logistics information is accurate, continually updated to the retailer’s current compliance requirements, and easily accessible by necessary partners
Oversees and negotiates assigned 3PL Retail Marketing contracts
Develops and maintains a 3PL Retail Marketing program supplier guide that adheres to Garmin’s procedures
Forecasts, tracks, reports, and communicates 3PL inventory for retail marketing programs and recommends OBS
Attends onsite marketing discussions, captures meeting notes, and distributes to necessary parties upon leadership request
Monitors detailed project development schedules, creates regular reports, and advises Retail Marketing leadership on internal and external resource capacity and project prioritization as well as evaluates level of effort and FTE requirements for projects and uses this information to make project resourcing recommendations to Retail Marketing leadership
Recommends any corrective actions needed to ensure successful project implementations
Recommends process improvements
Uses Garmin IT approved tools to improve processes, forecasting, project status documentation, communications, resourcing, approvals, inventory, or other assets as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
AND
a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
OR
an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Ability to submit and gain feedback on Garmin ITTPR Third Party Assessments
Experience working with IT to use and/or develop full product lifecycle project management tools
Extensive project management, capacity planning, and forecasting knowledge
Must be detail-oriented and work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging environment
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and quality assurance
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others
Creates and maintains cohesive relationships with customers, suppliers, and Garmin associates
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Must demonstrate a proven track record in providing excellent customer service
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential company matters
Demonstrated ability to complete complex tasks
Demonstrated ability to understand retail merchant terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Jira, Tableau, and Oracle or related software
Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques
