White Birch Communities is looking for a Dining Room Server to join our team in our Rockingham location. The Dining Room Server is a role where you will serve our residents their meals and snacks as well as assisting with prep work and cleanup.
This person should have a positive attitude and enjoy working with the elderly. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills. No previous experience in the food industry is required.
Responsibilities
Serve – Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Refill beverages.
Hydration --
Pass ice and fresh water to residents between meals
Clear dishes after meals and assist cook with washing dishes, putting them away and cleaning up kitchen. Determine that all workstations are stocked with products needed; clean and sanitize dining room areas.
Prep
– Assist cook in light prep work for meals
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
A good memory to remember names, and preferences of residents
Ability to serve residents quickly, efficiently and kindly
Ability to lift 15 pounds at a time
Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and reach over your head
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays
