To capitalize on this incredible growth and to achieve Visit Salt Lake’s ambitious vision, we’re seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our highly collaborative, and hard-working team. The digital content producer is a video first, hybrid shooter and editor responsible for hands-on production of video and photo content across campaigns, evergreen storytelling, and experiential initiatives. This role owns content from capture through delivery and supports the VSL brand and VSL Media House content platform.
Primary Responsibilities Pre-production:
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand content needs, deliverables, and timelines
Assist with planning content shoots, including shot lists, locations, gear needs, and scheduling
Support coordination for experiential, partner, and event-based shoots
Prepare equipment, media, and workflows to ensure smooth production days
Production:
Capture video content and photography for campaigns, evergreen storytelling, and events
Support social-first shoots and platform-specific content creation alongside the marketing team and social media manager
Adapt quickly on set or in the field to changing conditions and creative needs
Maintain consistent visual quality and brand alignment across all content
Edit video and photo content end-to-end, owning pacing, sound, and color for a variety of uses, including web, social, paid media, and internal needs
Deliver content in multiple formats and aspect ratios as required
Collaborate with Social and Design teams to refine content for platform-native execution
Support larger productions or external vendors as needed
Media House & Asset Management:
Help organize and maintain the Media House content library
Ensure assets are properly labeled, tagged, and categorized for internal and external use
Maintain clear file structures and documentation to support long-term usability
Support asset handoff to web, social, paid media, and partner teams
Maintain a lens of consistent innovation in storytelling and production techniques
Stay connected to the Salt Lake community and actively seek opportunities to highlight diverse stories, places, and perspectives
Identify content gaps during downtime and proactively propose new ideas or shoots
Qualifications:
Strong video-first production skills with supporting photo experience, including shooting and editing
Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, etc.), including sound design and color correction, with ownership from production through delivery
Comfort working in fast-paced environments with multiple projects running in parallel
Strong organizational skills and experience managing digital assets
Ability to work independently, self-direct, and operate within ambiguity
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
Attention to detail and pride in craft is a must
