About this Role The Associate Director of Impact Investments will play a critical role in advancing The Boston Foundation’s mission through impactful financial initiatives. Tasked with strengthening the impact investment program, the individual will work closely with various teams to ensure the growth and effectiveness of investment strategies aimed at driving positive change in Greater Boston. In this role, you will provide support for investment research and due diligence, particularly focusing on opportunities within the Mission First Pool (MFP) and impact funds. You will collaborate with the Philanthropy Group to address ad hoc requests from donor-advised fund (DAF) holders. As part of the reporting and presentations function, you will be responsible for tracking impact measurement metrics and organizing data for various reporting needs. Supporting the field building efforts, you will engage with DAF holders, participate as a speaker, and contribute to expanding the TBF brand within the impact investing arena.

Responsibilities

Support due diligence processes for Mission First Pool (MFP) opportunities.

Conduct research at the sector level for CDFI and impact funds.

Aid Philanthropy Group with thought partnership requests from DAF holders.

Manage transaction document processing.

Collect and organize data for reporting on the Recoverable Grants program and other funding pools.

Assist in creating presentations for the Impact Investments Team.

Engage with DAF holders to discuss co-investment opportunities.

Serve as a TBF speaker and panelist to promote impact investing activities.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

2-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting or financial services.

Demonstrated experience analyzing business models.

Proficiency in financial modeling for investment analysis.

Proficient in creating presentations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Familiarity with legal concepts in private investing.

Knowledge of affordable housing trends and investment considerations.

Familiarity with CDFIs and impact investing funds.
