The Opportunity Historic Fundraising by Latina Co-Founder

LMN has received one of the largest capital raises of a Latina owned & operated start-up in the U.S with over $80MM in capital raised from a diverse set of investors.

Co-founders and social entrepreneurs, Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto, launched Latino Media Network as a media company serving the HIspanic community, owned by Latinxs for Latinxs.

Unprecedented Launch

LMN’s first acquisition of 16 radio stations in 8 markets from Univision, has created a unique distribution network (with the potential to reach upwards of two thirds of the US Latino population) to build from.

Our team will lead and continue to scale the Company into a multimedia content creation and distribution platform.

The Power and Reach of Audio

Audio is the constant companion of the Hispanic consumer. According to Nielsen, radio remains one of the most reliable ways to reach Hispanic consumers, and in particular, Spanish-dominant Hispanics, as they listen to more radio than any other racial or language group. Hispanic audiences just can’t get enough of audio, 98% of U.S. Hispanics were tuning into radio each during 2017-2022 according to Nielsen and Edison Research reported that Latino podcast listeners are up 44% from last year.

Latino Media Network sees an incredible opportunity in audio, as it is an effective medium to reach the Hispanic demographic. Ethnic media is a powerful, trusted presence in our communities, and its influence is only growing in the Hispanic community. In 2020, causes and organizations spent millions of dollars to engage and turnout Hispanics through radio advertising, but Hispanic audiences are also being targeted and persuaded by misinformation at alarming rates.

The Role & You Latino Media Network is seeking a seasoned multimedia executive and business developer who is also savvy with Social media and digital to identify, develop and cultivate qualified new business clients, generate revenue and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be strategic, assertive, self-starter, to go after direct clients and agency accounts in the Fresno, CA market (must live locally). This role is a great opportunity for an account executive who is looking to develop and grow within a rapidly scaling start-up environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for radio / digital business development through prospecting, cold calling, networking, the use of co-op, and vendor development.

Responsibilities:

Prospect, identify potential clients, develop, and expand a new account list

Generate business development and qualify leads

Develop and maintain strong relationships with new clients.

Ability to thrive in autonomous working environment with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity, meeting deadlines, and showing relentless persistence in a competitive marketplace

Contact and present to clients and agencies, negotiate contracts and monitor collections

Decide on presentation storyline, positioning, and selling LMN integrated value proposition

Meet and exceed individual weekly and monthly activity and sales targets and revenue goals

Attend promotional events and other client networking events

Work in partnership with support team on pre-sale processes; prepare drafts of presentations and proposals

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts.

Other duties as deemed necessary

You Have These Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience

Must be highly motivated, assertive, creative, and proactive

Strong business development and presentation skills.

Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills

Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.

Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed targets.

Must have excellent client relations skills

Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel

Must be able to drive and have a valid Nevada driver’s license with a good driving record

We’d Love If You Also Have These

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience

Tech-savvy and comfortable with online/social media platforms

Knowledge of Matrix, Nielsen Audio, Tapscan and Wide Orbit

Eligibility Requirements

Must be willing to live in Las Vega, NV

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Compensation An employee’s pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.

We offer a competitive sales compensation package and commission plan designed to incentivize our top sales talent to perform at their highest level and contribute to the company’s overall revenue growth and profitability. New hires will be provided a clearly defined guarantee commission onboarding program with measurable sales targets that align with the company’s sales goals and objectives.
