JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our production team. This role is responsible for assembling custom door units to precise specifications. The ideal candidate has a background in finish carpentry, is confident using tools such as saws, nail guns, and measuring instruments, and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.

As a Finish Carpenter you’ll play a hands-on role in crafting the high-performance, custom door solutions Bayer Built is known for across the Midwest.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Building and assembling custom door units based on work orders and customer specifications

Operating hand and power tools including saws, nail guns, routers, and drills safely and efficiently

Performing precise measurements, cuts, and fittings with strong attention to detail

Inspecting finished work for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed

Maintaining a clean and organized work area following company safety guidelines

Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Continuously improving methods, materials, and results to support production goals

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT

Proven experience in finish carpentry or custom woodworking required

Strong familiarity with carpentry tools, woodworking machinery, and general shop safety

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and technical documents

Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and reliability in a team environment
