
Employment Specialist - Full-Time | Hybrid | Ocean County, NJ
Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday (flexible to meet service recipient work schedules; minimal weekends as needed)

What You’ll Do Employment Planning & Coaching
Develop individualized Employment Plans that identify strengths, preferences, goals, and potential barriers
Facilitate intake meetings and service team meetings
Provide customized training in resume building, interview preparation, and workplace soft skills
Deliver job coaching, pre-placement services, long-term follow-along supports, and approved specialized services
Ensure individuals understand employer expectations, schedules, and workplace policies
Community & Employer Partnerships
Identify and cultivate relationships with local employers
Expand and maintain a strong network of community business partners
Advocate for service recipients in employment settings
Coordinate service transitions as employment needs evolve
Documentation & Compliance
Complete all required documentation in accordance with DVRS, DDD, CARF, DCF, DOE, and DOL standards
Provide weekly caseload updates to supervisors and referral sources
Maintain accurate client files and monitor required documentation systems
Develop weekly schedules ensuring minimum billable hours are met
Technology & Autonomy
Utilize multiple platforms to facilitate services (remote, hybrid, in-person)
Assist service recipients in navigating technology as needed
Work independently while maintaining strong communication with supervisors

Requirements What We’re Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
Minimum 20 years of age
Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than 5 points
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field, including 1 year as a job coach (required)
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and networking skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Must complete all required DVRS and DDD pre-service trainings
Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification
Must pass all required background and registry checks
