Investor Group Services (IGS) invites candidates with a deep interest in artificial intelligence, private equity, and value creation to apply for the AI Consultant role within our newly formed AI Strategy & Transformation division.

IGS supports clients through: M&A Due Diligence, Sell-side Industry Analysis, Growth Strategy, GTM Strategy & Pricing Strategy.

Buy-side commercial diligence on mission critical investment issues (addressable market, growth, competition, VoC) for PE & corporate acquisitions.

Sell-side industry reports to assist owners, management, and their advisors/investment bankers in preparing a company for sale.

Assisting portfolio company management in realizing value through accelerated organic growth, buy and build acquisition strategies and targeted quick strike value creation.

Advising clients on market entry, sales and marketing alignment, channel strategy, and customer segmentation to enhance market penetration and revenue growth.

Role Overview As an AI Consultant, you will play a foundational role in building IGS’s AI practice. You will work at the intersection of technical engineering and investment strategy, helping private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies navigate the complexities of AI adoption.

Your work will be split across two primary tracks:

AI Due Diligence:

Evaluating the technical maturity, scalability, and defensibility of AI products and data moats within target companies during the M&A process.

AI Transformation:

Working directly with portfolio company management to identify, design, and implement AI-driven value creation initiatives, ranging from automated workflows to generative AI integration.

Key Responsibilities

M&A AI Due Diligenceb> Perform buy-side technical diligence to assess a target's AI "reality"—evaluating their tech stack, proprietary data assets, and the actual utility of their AI features versus market hype.

AI Value Creation:

Assist portfolio company management in realizing value through AI-driven operational efficiency, including automating mission-critical business processes and designing scalable AI systems.

Strategy & Implementation:

Design and implement tailored AI solutions (Predictive Analytics, Intelligent Automation, and LLM-based platforms) and guide organizations through the adoption phase.

Client Advisory:

Advise clients on AI governance, ethical deployment, data privacy compliance, and tool selection (e.g., Azure, AWS, Power Automate, ChatGPT).

Training & Adoption:

Conduct workshops and training sessions for frontline employees and executives to ensure high user adoption and productivity gains from new AI tools.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; a highly quantitative field (Economics/Finance) is a plus.

Experience:

6–10 years of experience in a hybrid role involving business process optimization, AI engineering, or technical consulting.

Communication:

Exceptional ability to translate complex technical AI concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical private equity clients and executives.

Benefits Compensation

Pay expected for the position: $150,000 - $200,000 USD annually (the position level and compensation for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications)

Pay is issued on a semi-monthly basis
