The UNM
Department of Fine Arts
invites applicants to apply for a Temporary Part-Time Faculty (Adjunct/Unit 2) member to teach one of the following subject areas for Summer/Fall 2026 this posting is exclusively for online/asynchronous instruction and delivery of courses. These positions will be hired on an as needed basis dependent on student enrollment, course offering matrix, and graduation requirements.The specific courses include, but are not limited to, the following: ARTS 2431 Introduction to Graphic Design Introduction to the principles of visual communication and digital media, letterforms, typography and identity marks. Web Design This course provides an introduction to web development techniques, theory, and design. Students will learn HTML, CSS application, and strategies for effective site navigation and design, along with industry standard web editing software to develop various websites. We propose a base salary of $1,135.26 to $1,227.89 per credit hour depending on successful candidates

qualifications.This posting is for both face to face and remote delivery of courses. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: To teach or develop courses in the field or subfield for which you are applying aredeterminedby Higher Learning Commission’s accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be met in these ways: ·
A master's degree in fine arts, or relevant degree withminimumof 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach or tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to the degree. Preferred Qualifications: ·
Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, particularly a community college. ·
Demonstrated experience in remote delivery of instruction. ·
A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and the success of the university’s mission to serve local and global communities Application Instructions
