
Manager, Independence Consultation - Business Relationships

As part of ICN Business Relationships team, you will be an enabler of Deloitte's operations and growth by reviewing proposed business relationships such as alliances, teaming arrangements, and sponsorships for auditor independence in a regulated environment.

Work you'll do
Manage a domestic and international team of professionals who process business relationships and consultations by answering questions and providing guidance and training
Perform critical secondary reviews of business relationship submissions in the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Gateway
Work closely with Lead Client Service Partners, Professional Practice Directors, Regional Compliance Officers, DTT Independence Directors, and other function Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors on consultations involving business relationships
Identify and implement potential enhancements to the existing business relationship clearance process and tools, including the TPRM Gateway
Work with technology development on these enhancements and performing user acceptance testing
Take a management role in completing independence processes and assigned projects
Monitor, foster, and reinforce data quality in the TPRM Gateway
Create and present training sessions on business relationships across internal ICN and all Deloitte businesses
Participate in the ICN Business Relationships team strategy and operations coordination
The successful candidate will possess

Business Relationships Team - a critical component of ICN Business relationships are essential to the growth strategy of Deloitte. The ICN Business Relationships team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance, and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the businesses remain unbiased and independent when entering into business relationships with third parties. Qualifications of a Successful Candidate:
Required:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years related experience required
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel up to 10%, as required, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Experience with professional services firm and understanding of auditor independence requirements
Supervision, coaching, and team management
Preferred:
Master's degree in a related field (preferably business, finance or accounting ) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Prior public accounting, consulting, or regulatory compliance experience
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
