Sales Engineer – Multiphysics Applications
Flow Science seeks a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive growth across diverse multiphysics applications through technical expertise and consultative selling. This role combines deep CFD knowledge with business development skills to build lasting customer relationships in consumer products, chemical processing, biomedical, and aerospace industries.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through new business development, up‑selling, and cross‑selling of
FLOW‑3D
products across multiphysics applications including consumer product development, chemical processes, biomedical devices, microfluidics, and aerospace fluid systems
Manage full sales cycles from prospecting through contract closure, developing strategic account plans and delivering timely forecasts
Proactively manage assigned accounts to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and recurring revenue through strategic engagement and renewal management
Build and maintain relationships with R&D engineers, process engineers, and key executives, positioning Flow Science as a trusted advisor
Technical Engagement
Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, webinars and proof‑of‑concept projects showcasing
FLOW‑3D
capabilities across complex multiphysics scenarios
Collaborate with prospects to understand engineering challenges involving product and process improvement
Provide pre‑sales technical consulting to help customers solve challenging fluid dynamics problems in product design and process optimization
Represent
FLOW‑3D
at industry conferences, trade shows, and organize customer user groups
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with technical support and development teams to address complex customer requirements
Provide market insights and customer feedback to product development and marketing teams
Collaborate on industry‑specific content, case studies, and technical documentation
Leverage CRM tools to effectively track and manage opportunities
Required Skills & Experience Technical Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
3+ years in technical sales, product development, process engineering, consulting or R&D
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics principles, numerical modeling approaches, Multiphysics, granular media including DEM and other CAE techniques
Sales & Business Skills
Proven track record achieving sales quotas in technical or enterprise software sales
Experience managing full sales cycles with strategic account planning and forecasting capabilities
Excellent communication skills explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Consultative and value‑based selling experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience using
FLOW‑3D
or similar CFD simulation software
Advanced engineering degree or Professional Engineering license
Track record of consistently exceeding annual sales quotas
