is to bring national opportunities (RFPs resulting in contracts) to our members that might not otherwise have been presented and garnering profitable products & services through INDATEL Rural Ethernet eXchanges. Strategy
includes b uilding
market awareness of the high-quality/high bandwidth rural and urban fiber networks deployed by our members; u nifying
our member-owned networks with key tier 1 city anchor points of presence;
Integrating
our national marketing & sales activities under the INDATEL brand; l eading
the industry rally call for continued collaboration among rural network providers; and d edicating
time and resources to our common goals and objectives. Position Description/Purpose
This is a multifunctional role that provides support for our executive, sales, and operations and engineering departments but is not limited to these areas. This is a key support role within the company and is expected to provide exceptional support while contributing to the overall goals and strategies of the team. Responsibilities
Accounting/financial statements/audits/tax Cash management/banking operations Billing/invoices/collections Executive & board-level reports & KPIs Services/price/cost/project modeling Product/service support/modeling to generate incremental revenue Collaborate with sales & marketing to launch product/services Automation/OSS/BSS to include Quickbooks, Salesforce.com, other Revenue protection/churn management Data analytics – data collection, executive reports, presentations Qualifications
Education and experience requirements typical for this position include: Experience in at least one of the following is highly preferred: finance, accounting, budgets, billing, financial modeling, business development with supplemental experience in Ethernet telecom network & sales engineering Certification of skills in accounting, finance, audit industry, i.e., Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent. Experience & knowledge with data communications/networks, IP-based products & services, design & implementation or technical support, preferred with understanding to support data, voice, networks to the wholesale, government, enterprise end-user. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, audit, or related field required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be given adequate consideration Master’s or equivalent advanced degree in accounting, finance, audit, or related field preferred. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within accounting, finance, generally accepted accounting principles, information technology support & business applications/system. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Willingness to strive to consistently improve, both personally and as a team, to achieve extraordinary results in customer service and technical skills Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines Ability to interact effectively and professionally, providing exceptional service, both internally and externally Ability to meet deadlines consistently with accuracy Must be willing to attend offsite training and travel as required Exceptional organization follow up skills with self-prioritization and accountability Willingness to learn new technology and/or processes with easy adaptability and accuracy Valid driver’s license Legally authorized to work in the US without restrictions and/or sponsorship In addition to education and experience, the Director-Finance & Accounting must be detail driven and have exceptional communication skills with an advanced level of experience in Microsoft tools (i.e., Word, Excel and Power Point).
