
We are seeking a Construction Field Superintendent with strong OSP and fiber expertise to lead low‑voltage infrastructure execution on a hyper‑scale data center project in Montgomery, AL.
This role is responsible for field operations, safety, quality, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and production management for OSP fiber, microduct, and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in data center environments and understands both inside plant and outside plant fiber systems.
This is a direct hire opportunity with strong compensation and long‑term project stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead field execution of OSP and ISP fiber installations within a hyperscale data center environment
Oversee microduct pathway installation, fiber jetting, tugging, and placement
Manage fiber splicing, termination, testing, and documentation
Supervise craft labor, subcontractors, and foremen onsite
Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance
Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with project management
Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
Manage daily reports, labor tracking, cost controls, and production metrics
Ensure quality control for fiber, communications, and structured cabling systems
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site logistics
Support owner and GC meetings, providing schedule updates and field status
Train and develop assistant supers, coordinators, and field personnel
Maintain accurate project logs and documentation
Required Qualifications:
3–7+ years of experience in low‑voltage construction leadership
Strong OSP fiber background in data center or large commercial environments
OSP and ISP fiber installation
Microduct pathway installation
Fiber jetting and tugging
Fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR testing
Structured cabling systems
Experience managing field crews and subcontractors
Working knowledge of Primavera, Primavera Cloud, or equivalent scheduling tools
OSHA 30 certification
Confined Space certification
Ability to read blueprints, fiber routing plans, and site drawings
Strong cost control and production management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on hyperscale or mission‑critical data centers
BICSI certification (Installer or Technician)
RCDD
PMP
DBIA or LEED credentials
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
