Position Overview We are seeking a

visionary Architecture Higher EducationLeader

to lead and grow a well-established architectural practice in theMid-Atlantic region. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a licensedarchitect with deep expertise in

higher education design ,

businessdevelopment , and

team leadership .

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing

large-scale architectural projects ranging from $10M–$50M , whilebuilding strong client relationships, mentoring high-performing teams, andshaping the strategic growth of an architecture studio.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Business Development

Leadregional growth initiatives within the higher education market

Identify,pursue, and win new architectural projects

Strengthenlong-term client relationships and industry partnerships

Collaboratewith senior leadership to expand market presence across the Mid-Atlanticand Southeast regions

Representthe firm with community stakeholders, campus leaders, and industryorganizations

Overseehigher education projects valued between

$10M–$50M

from conceptthrough completion

Ensuredesign excellence, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance

Guidearchitectural design, graphic modeling, and technical documentationefforts

Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions

Maintainproject schedules, budgets, and quality standards

Lead,mentor, and develop architectural teams (5–15 professionals)

Recruitand retain top architectural talent

Alignteam strengths with strategic business goals

Promotecontinuous improvement and professional development

Requirements Required Qualifications (Must Have)

18+years of experience

in higher education architectural design andleadership

ProfessionalArchitecture Licenses beyond Maryland

(Mid-Atlantic / Southeastregions)

LEEDAP Accreditation

SCUPMembership

Provensuccess in

business development

and client relationship growth

Experiencemanaging

large-scale projects ($10M–$50M)

from concept tocompletion

Strongleadership, communication, and mentorship abilities

Proficiencyin architectural design and graphic modeling tools:

Revit

SketchUp

Preferred Experience

Backgroundin large enterprise architecture or civil engineering firms (500+employees or equivalent scale)

Demonstratedcareer stability with progressive leadership responsibility

Experienceworking closely with higher education institutions and campus planningteams

Strongunderstanding of sustainable design and higher education facilitiesplanning

This is a

hybrid role

based in Hunt Valley, Maryland,requiring

on-site presence at least three days per week . The role isprimarily office-based with occasional site visits. A professional,collaborative work environment is provided, and reasonable accommodations maybe made as needed.
