We are seeking a strategic, execution‑driven Product Director to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of next‑generation healthcare technology products. This leader will blend deep product management expertise with strong technical aptitude, EMR ecosystem fluency, and a passion for improving outcomes across clinical, quality, population health, and value‑based care workflows.
You will guide cross‑functional teams, shape product strategy, partner closely with engineering and market stakeholders, and ensure our products deliver measurable customer and patient impact.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Owns interoperability portfolio strategy and accountable for P&L; makes invest/hold/retire recommendations to sustain a healthy portfolio aligned to business strategy
Possess an in-depth understanding of technical product management best practices and frameworks
Collaborates with Stakeholders to drive strategic and outcome-based roadmaps
Strategic thinker with the ability to offer ideas that will facilitate product maturity within an organization
Clearly understands cross-product workflow / LOB relationships; learns from and adopts other products' successes
Directs competitive analysis and market & opportunity sizing, including white‑space assessment; translates insights into portfolio bets and investment priorities
Develops positioning & value propositions by segment; aligns portfolio roadmap to buyer needs and purchase cycles
Deep and personal knowledge of payer and provider users, customers and market segments
Roadmap, Prioritization & Execution
Influences & drives prioritization across the Product Development Roadmap, Product Backlog, and Sprint Backlog
Influences 'Definition of Done' and ensures it is clearly understood
Work with Business Leads and Engineering Leads to ensure OKR's are created and measured
Establishes KPIs and targets; implements governance that ties decisions to the original customer problem and verifies outcome realization
Leads evidence based decisioning: defines learning agendas, instrumentation plans, and experiments; critically reviews analyses to evaluate effectiveness and determine course corrections.
Builds business cases and capital requests; evaluates trade offs across the portfolio to prioritize funding and resources
Delivering product performance in alignment with expectations, and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position and produce optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs
Right problems are being solved the right way to meet customer needs + Owns the improvement of user and customer metrics such as NPS
Technical Leadership, Architecture & Engineering Partnership
Translates product vision into operational designs and scalable architectures; provides high level requirements and guardrails that enable iterative delivery
Monitors industry technology roadmaps and recommends innovation in digital/channels to advance portfolio competitiveness
Ensures industry standard architecture and design patterns are followed
Able to evangelize and foster reuse across products
Partners appropriately across the portfolio to minimize overlapping work
Works with delivery leadership teams to align Engineering / Architecture expectations of Product team within
Balance business priorities with technology enablers to advance platform and minimize tech debt
Provides guidance on transition and future state architecture, reducing/managing technical debt, & developing system designs
Understands engineering workstreams, challenges, and processes and how to relate them to product and business problems
Balances deep subject matter expertise with knowledge of business use cases and solid technical aptitude
Agile Processes, Tools & Operational Excellence
Advocates best practices, processes, and tools for agile product development
Expertise in one or more Agile Product Development tools (i.e.Aha, Rally) used to track and report product development ideas, features, and metrics
Manages capacity plan against demand
Cross-Functional Collaboration, Influence & Leadership
Demonstrates finesse in executive communication and negotiation; secures buy in on complex, cross org priorities using evidence based recommendations; resolves conflicts and drives to decision
Partners with Sales & Marketing to shape GTM, forecast, and sales enablement; serves as senior product SME in complex client pursuits and escalations
Leads change management at scale; anticipates enterprise impacts, sequences change, and drives adoption across functions
Operates effectively amid ambiguity, framing approaches, guiding others through uncertainty, and establishing clarity of decisions and next steps

Structures and implements governance to ensure persistent connection to the customer problem and measurable resolution of outcomes; validates decisions with customers as strategic partners
Identifies approaches / initiatives that result in customer metric improvement and drives adoption across portfolios
Owns user and customer metrics across multiple products (SUS and NPS)

Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience in healthcare, healthcare tech, or technology sectors
3+ years in a role supporting clinical, quality, population health, or VBC performance optimization in areas such as population health management, stratification, care management, clinical optimization, risk identification, or clinical documentation
3+ years in a product management or technology development role across new product development, launches, market sizing, roadmap creation, and commercial/SaaS product development
3+ years of experience leading highly matrixed, cross-functional initiatives with strong operational structure understanding
2+ years of experience in EMR integrations/interoperability, including SMART on FHIR apps, EMR API integrations, and HIE/ADT integrations
Experience integrating 3rd party solutions and internal app enrichments for commercial release in the US healthcare market
Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years managing full product profitability, including revenue, expense, and depreciation
3+ years managing a team of product managers
Proven ability to lead product discovery and synthesize market findings into product ideas
Proven ability to drive alignment across a matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks
Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization

The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
