GBA Builders is seeking an experienced
Traveling Construction Superintendent
to join our
Government Services
team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, self‑motivated leader who thrives on collaboration, problem‑solving, and delivering high‑quality projects across multiple locations. As a Senior Federal Construction Superintendent, you will have the
autonomy to manage day‑to‑day operations
while working closely with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure project success. Travel is required, primarily within the Midwest, with occasional projects on either coast. What You’ll Do
Coordinate and supervise
design‑build and bid‑build projects
from mobilization through closeout. Collaborate with
clients, design teams, and contractors
to ensure project success. Foster a
“Safety First” culture
on all job sites. Implement
quality control and quality assurance
processes. Manage
daily subcontractor activities
and jobsite logistics. Review, collect, and submit
shop drawings, product data, and test reports . Build and maintain
construction schedules
and short‑term
look‑ahead schedules . Review project estimates and budgets with the operations and project management teams. Complete daily and weekly reports, maintaining a
photo journal of progress . What You Bring
Degree in
Construction Management
preferred. 15+ years
of experience in construction management or field supervision. Demonstrated ability to
lead teams
and foster strong jobsite culture. Strong collaboration and
partnership approach
with contractors, designers, and clients. Proficiency in
MS Office Suite
and
MS Project . Excellent
communication, problem‑solving, and time management
skills. Self‑motivated with a hands‑on approach to project execution. Experience in
Life Sciences or Manufacturing construction
preferred. Willingness and ability to
