
Assistant Camp Director – Auer Camp
Job Description
The Assistant Camp Director plays a vital role in ensuring a successful and enjoyable camp experience for all. You will work closely with the Camp Director to oversee the day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure the smooth running of all camp programs.
Responsibilities
Assist the Camp Director in planning, developing, and implementing camp programs and activities.
Supervise and mentor camp counselors, ensuring they are providing a positive and engaging environment for campers.
Co-coordinate camp schedules, including arrival/dismissal procedures, activity rotations, and special days.
Handle camper needs and concerns, promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Assist with staff training and development.
Mentor Art and PM Care specialists.
Respond to delegated parent/guardian emails and phone calls.
Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians.
Assist with camp logistics, such as equipment management and supply ordering.
Assist with opening ceremonies and Fun Friday Activities.
Be prepared to step in and manage camp operations in the absence of the Camp Director.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with children in a camp setting is preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for creating a fun and engaging camp experience.
CPR/First Aid certification (can acquire one hired).

May 15, 2026 – Aug 14, 2026; may require some weekend hours during summer
Salary:
Salary is dependent upon experience
