DEPARTMENT: Media & Marketing
JOB SUMMARY: The Syeceb Reporter works independently and with minimal supervision to tell the stories of Tulalip and Native America. This person is constantly learning about Tulalip’s Treaty, sovereignty, culture and services in order to educate and inspire diverse audiences including Tulalip citizens, Tulalip employees and non‑Native allies and residents of the Tulalip Reservation. This person evaluates the interests of the community and adapts their writing style to be relevant. This person consistently demonstrates growth in their technical, writing and presentation skills while adhering to tight deadlines. This person must be willing to work flexible hours and travel for stories.
COMPENSATION: $27.62 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Experience writing as a student, professional or recreational
Experience taking still photos with a digital camera.
SKILLS TESTING:
Typing 35 WPM
Writing
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
Must be an enrolled member of a Federally recognized Tribe.
WA State Driver’s License.
(Personal Auto Insurance)
Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation
(Abstract Required)
Must provide writing and photo examples
(Required)
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full‑Time position.
