Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user requirements to document highly complex system needs - Develop and maintain detailed system documents to support efficient system design and uphold quality standards - Design and execute robust test plans, facilitating user acceptance testing to validate system functionality - Analyze program policies and procedures for their impact on automated systems and recommend process reengineering - Serve as a key liaison between business and IT teams, providing expert consultation and documentation throughout the project lifecycle - Identify risks and propose effective mitigation strategies at all project stages - Communicate project status and updates to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment - Coordinate service request responses, technical specification reviews, system integration, and testing activities - Work independently and collaboratively to deliver creative solutions for complex challenges - Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role - 5+ years of experience bridging Business and IT teams - Hands-on experience with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS) - Proven ability to write system requirements for federal child nutrition programs, preferably with TDA - Proficiency in system documentation, test planning, and risk analysis
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated success in process reengineering - Strong stakeholder communication and project reporting abilities - Familiarity with state or federal system compliance
