About Float Float Studio is a small interior architecture and design studio based in NYC. We work across workplace and commercial interiors, with a hospitality driven approach and a big focus on the details that make a space feel intentional. Our team is small, friendly, and tight. We care about doing great work without burning people out. We are looking for someone who is calm, organized, and genuinely enjoys supporting a small team.
The Role We are looking for an Interior or Architectural Designer who is highly organized and detail oriented to support the studio across active projects. This role supports project teams across all phases of design, from programming and concept through construction administration and installation.
While the position can lean toward either interior or architecture depending on your background and interest, our studio operates with significant crossover between both disciplines. Designers with an interiors focus may assist with furniture plans, sourcing, and material research. Those with an architectural focus may support construction documentation, detailing, and elevations. In either case, you will contribute to the refinement of client presentations so they are accurate, aligned, and ready for review.
Because we are a smaller studio, project needs shift week to week. Some weeks may require focused drawing updates and technical coordination. Other weeks may lean into sourcing research, presentation production, or internal documentation. The role requires someone comfortable moving between design tasks while maintaining a high level of precision.
This is an in person role. You will assist with site visits, and installation days as needed. We are looking for someone who understands that strong design execution depends on both thoughtful design work and disciplined follow through.

Preferred Experience
1-4 years in a design studio, architecture studio, or similar environment
Professional degree in Architecture (BArch or M.Arch) or Interior Design (BFA, MA, or equivalent)
