This is a 16 week Co-Op position for actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate university students who are graduating between May 2027 and May 2028. Must be eligible and available for full time work (40 hours a week) during fall semester 2026. Students should not be enrolled in classes while working this Co-op.
The Brand Technical Sales Specialist Co-op (BTSS) plays a critical role in driving growth by covering a broad territory of 200-300 clients in a particular industry and product specialty niche within the Select Territory segment.

Your role and responsibilities As a hybrid technical + sales role, the BTSS Co-op is accountable for supporting opportunity identification, technical qualification, and progression through hands-on technical sales motions. BTSSs combine product expertise, technical validation, and client-facing sales skills to accelerate deal velocity and improve win rates, primarily through ecosystem partners.
BTSSs collaborate closely with Business Partners to identify client needs, validate technical fit, design POCs, and streamline solution recommendations aligned to IBM focus products.
Execute sales motions aligned to Activate accounts.
Drive technical and sales execution by validating client requirements, confirming solution fit, and supporting opportunity progression.
Utilize advanced AI-powered RevTech tools for lead scoring, routing, and client insights.
Drive adoption of simplified product portfolios and digital engagement strategies.
Execute POCs in collaboration with BPs to differentiate IBM solutions.

SeekingB.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical degree/experience.
Knowledge in digital engagement and revenue technology tools.
Ability to co-sell and co-create solutions with partners and clients.
Collaboration with Sales Development Representatives and marketing teams.
Strong hybrid technical and sales skills across focus product areas.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Advanced Digital Selling Tools: Exposure to utilizing advanced digital selling tools to identify and progress sales opportunities, with an understanding of how to leverage technology to drive sales growth.
Industry-Specific Product Knowledge: Experience working with industry-specific product offerings, with the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and effectively communicate their value to clients.
Complex Client Needs Analysis: Exposure to analyzing complex client business needs and aligning solutions to meet those needs, with an understanding of how to position IBM's value proposition.
