Lead Carpenter

$30.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience
About the Role DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter for residential bath and interior remodeling projects. This role is responsible for executing high‑quality remodeling work while coordinating trade partners, maintaining project schedules, and communicating clearly with homeowners and the DreamMaker team. Time management, organization and self‑motivation are critical for a successful lead carpenter working independently for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced carpentry and general construction tasks through all phases of remodeling from demolition to finishing.
Prep and install cabinets, tile, flooring, and perform light electrical (low‑voltage lighting systems, fixture installs) and light plumbing (sweat work, fixture installs).
Review construction plans, material checklists, and installation techniques before project start.
Responsible for the contents of the production binder, schematics, scope of work, job‑specific materials, and installation guides.
Coordinate trade partners and inspections; attend pre‑construction and weekly production meetings.
Maintain a pristine work environment with job‑site protection, organization, and communication.
Track labor, materials, photos, logs, and purchases using JobTread software.
Monitor job budgets and communicate progress to homeowners and the DreamMaker team.
Maintain company vehicle; keep tools, equipment, and supplies organized.
Efficient execution of the project requires the ability to pre‑plan, stock, and inventory the tools and supplies by construction phase for each job.
Assist with change orders, warranty work, and other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of residential construction/carpentry experience.
Strong communication, organization, and customer‑service skills.
Proficiency in carpentry, tile installation, interior trim, light plumbing and electrical, and general remodeling trades.
Ability to read plans, follow building codes, and solve problems independently.
Basic computer/smartphone skills (MS Office and job management apps).
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites in Burlington County.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at required heights.
Preferred:
Technical school certification or equivalent experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
8-hour daytime shifts
