
The Leasing Assistant supports the daily operations of the leasing office and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional experience to prospective residents. This position works closely with the Leasing Agent and management team to ensure efficient application processing, accurate reporting, and customer service. The Leasing Assistant may be required to perform additional duties outside of regular responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall support and assistance to Leasing Agent which includes but is not limited to intake, applications, leases, showings, and processing
Respond to all phone and web inquiries regarding information on vacancies and be knowledgeable on apartment inventory, application requirements and building policies
Main and first point of contact for all general inquiries received on leasing@gothamorg.com
Update and review spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy of the data, such as availability and turnover reports
Coordinate with management team and other building personnel to report tenant move-in in a timely manner, and ensure prospective resident’s satisfaction
Maintain good customer relations with current residents, prospective residents
Register and tour prospects, exemplifying the benefits of living in a Gotham managed property
Engage in continuous follow-up with prospects and exemplify strong closing techniques
Diligently track prospect information to ensure data is complete and accurate
Collect and prepare verification documents to efficiently process applications
Administer leases and other legal documents with strong attention to detail
Provide coverage for Leasing Agent when out of the office
Qualifications:
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Full time position- 5 days a week. Weekend work will be required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Administrative skills with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
