Chair of Community Engagement and Partnerships
The Heart of Art, Hyattsville, Maryland, United States, 20780
At The Heart of Art, we believe every child deserves the power of creativity, the magic of storytelling, and the confidence that comes from self-expression. But access to the arts and education shouldn't be a privilege, it should be a right.
The Heart of Art is committed to fostering creativity and personal growth by providing equitable access to the performing arts and education. We empower children and youth in underserved communities while promoting racial equity through our programs. Because every child deserves to share their voice, a stage, a story, and a chance to shine!
What That Means
Creativity for All No barriers. No gatekeeping. Just endless opportunities for young minds to dream, create, and thrive.
Literacy Comes to Life Kids don’t just read stories—they step into them, turning words into performances and books into bold new adventures.
Equity in Action We work tirelessly to ensure that every child—no matter their background—has access to the arts, education, and opportunities that inspire them to shine.
We recognize that representation matters both on and off the stage. That’s why our programs highlight diverse stories, voices, and perspectives to ensure that every child sees themselves reflected in the arts.
The Heart of Art is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to using the performing arts as a gateway to foster literacy, education, creativity, and community building. We empower children and youth through programs that combine the magic of storytelling with the transformative power of the arts.
